This project was carried out for a better understanding of non-regular and traditional forms in architecture, and therefore, aims to model an irregular facade. This irregularity was addressed not only at the level of the face of the facade, but also in the opening of spans in it.
This project was inspired by the facade of the Hannam-Dong HANDS Corporation Headquarters by THE_SYSTEM LAB
STEPS:
– Dividing facade into horizontal levels
– Making points for each levels using careless range component
– Turning numbers to points on curves and delete duplicated ones
-Random movement perpendicular to the facade
-Triangulating points using delaunary
– Fillet edges and make surface came out of them
– Extrusion
RESULTS:
– With this script I can get several different results, I can change:
- number of floors
- facade dimensions
- number of spans
- dimension of the spans
- facade irregularity
